From the route of Abu al-^Abbas Sahl bin Sa^d as-Sa^idiyy, may Allah accept his deeds, who said: A man came to the Prophet, sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam, who said: O Messenger of Allah , guide me to a deed which if I do Allah will Love me (accept my deeds) and the people will love me?
The Prophet said, <<Lead a hermit like life in this world and Allah will Love you and be humble about what people usually possess and the people will love you.>>
This Hadith is Hasan and narrated by Ibn Majah and others with Hasan chains of narration.
