Authentic Islamic Knowledge and Community

For seekers and new Muslims

Our mission and values

Our Mission

Sacred Veil helps sincere seekers and Muslims, near and far, learn authentic Islamic knowledge and build a strong, supportive community in their pursuit of piety and Paradise, God willing.

Our Values

Authentic knowledge. We share the Islamic knowledge that was conveyed by the best of all Prophets, Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, and preserved by qualified scholars. It is highly valued and carefully protected, and we want you to receive it as it was taught.

Integrity. We teach what we have learned from reliable sources, we name those sources, and we say so when we do not know.

Welcome. Questions are welcome here, whether you are new to Islam, returning to it, or still deciding. There is no pressure and no judgment.

My story

Where do cultures come from, and why are there so many religions?

“Life on Earth is a Dream; the Afterlife is Reality.”

That question sits at the heart of my book. Even as a preteen, I noticed that most religions shared similar contradictions. Through my search, I found one path that stood apart from the rest.

Can you tell the difference between the noise surrounding Islam and the truth? I wrote this book to help you find out for yourself.

Where I started

I was born in Tripoli, Lebanon, and grew up in Canada, where my parents immigrated when I was young. I started elementary school as a newcomer, always watching, questioning, and trying to understand the world around me.

From a young age I carried big questions. Where do cultures come from? Why are there so many religions? I wanted to be certain that I was following the truth. My family did not have the answers, and explanations like “blind faith” never satisfied me. My search lasted more than a decade.

From seeking to sharing

When I finally found clear, reasoned answers beneath the misconceptions, I could not keep them to myself. I have now taught authentic Islam for 30 years and have spoken with thousands of people. I especially wanted English speakers to meet the rational side of Islam, beyond the stereotypes, alhamdulillah.

Over the years I learned that people of every background, Arab and non-Arab, share the same questions and uncertainties. The difference is that some are given access to knowledge, and others are left searching alone.

Why I wrote the book

Teaching one person at a time was not enough. I wanted a way to speak to hearts and minds even when we would never meet. So I wrote a book that brings the same logical, evidence-based knowledge that changed my life to anyone willing to read it.

From fashion to inner work

When I first decided to wear the hijab 30 years ago, I had a single black scarf, borrowed from someone else. Three years later I returned to college to study fashion design, because I wanted to create modest, stylish clothing that reflected both faith and fashion. Life interrupted my two-year diploma with a baby and emergency surgery, and it took me four years to graduate.

In the 1990s, women in Europe, the Middle East, and North America wore my hijab designs.

As my faith deepened, my focus shifted from outer beauty to inner beauty, and I became passionate about self-awareness and personal growth. That led me into life coaching and, through my own journey with Humoral Medicine, wellness coaching. I have now worked as a Wellness Master Coach for nearly 20 years, guiding clients around the world.
